Vanya and his adopted sister Sonia have lived their entire lives in their family’s farmhouse in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. While they stayed home to take care of their ailing parents, their sister Masha was gallivanting around the world as a successful actress and movie star. She suddenly returns home with her twenty-something boy toy, Spike, and announces she is selling the farmhouse. Vanya and Sonia are devastated and unsure of their future. Cassandra, the soothsayer/cleaning woman, warns of terrible things to come and uses voodoo to attempt to change Masha’s mind. The neighbor’s niece, Nina, is a star-struck, aspiring actress and her presence fuels jealousy in Masha. Hilarity ensues as they attend a costume party for an affluent neighbor, dressed as characters from Snow White. Spike continues to tease and arouse, and Vanya presents a play he has written starring Nina as a molecule.
